If you're looking for a few good "value" stocks to stuff Christmas stockings with this holiday season, there are more than enough of them to choose from given the recent declines in the stock market. Below is a list of the hidden treasures that I have uncovered.

All of the stocks listed below meet the following criteria that I feel makes them excellent prospects for long holds:

• Every one of these companies are located in the United States of America. With the constant international dramas being played out today and the financial instability of the global markets, buying American only makes sense.
• Heeding the example set by Warren Buffett, none of the companies listed below are listed in the Technology sector.
• The all have a 90-day Average volume of at least 50K. After all, there's no sense in buying a stock that you may not have buyers for when you get ready to sell.
• They all boast a Return On Equity (ROE) of at least 5%, meaning that they are making the company's money work for the shareholders.
• They all have a P/S and P/B Ratio below 1.0.
• They are all undervalued by at least 20% when comparing the company's Book Value Per Share (BVPS) to the current Price Per Share (PPS).
